A very unique piece from the village of Nebaj, Guatemala.  Originally this piece was a hair cinta or ribbon that was wrapped around and around a woman's head (see picture below).  The weaving in the middle of the cinta was the original design.  The embroidered flowers have been added to make this piece into a stunning table runner that is very long.  There are beautiful pom poms on each end of this piece.  An overdye has been added to give it the earthy tone.  A truly unique piece of art!
