This beautifully carved piece is in the shape of a sling shot but doesn't have the cord or place for the cord.  The carver told me he sells them as door pulls and I have seen them in Guatemala for that purpose.  Bottom is flat so can be easily attached to door.  Wood is possibly pine - a lighter weight wood.  1" x 5"
