This is a very traditional huipil of
Zacaulpa, a Quiche village. It has been woven on a
back-strap loom with a decorative randa joining the panels.
The weave is close and fine. This is a new huipil
therefore in great shape. On close inspection, I noticed a
couple of tiny spots that do not look like stains but probably
due to the weaver sitting on the ground and thus picking up a
little dirt.
