Corte - Colotenango, Guatemala

Wonderfully executed corte woven in 2 panels on a back-strap loom.  Colotenango is one of the few villages where skirts are back-stap woven and of those, the Colotenango skirt is the most elaborate.  The designs in this piece are very traditional and nicely done.  This piece is probably 5 to 6 years old and in perfect shape.
