Nahuala,
Guatemala 50" long x 26" wide
1980's Nahuala huipil with traditional back-strap woven depiction of animals. The women in Nahuala intentionally use a dye that will run as that is the desired result. This huipil is a wonderful example of a traditional Nahuala huipil. The white cotton base cloth has some spots but despite it's age, this is a nice huipil and would make great pillows or a nice wall hanging.
