San Pedro Sacatepequez, San Marcos Guatemala

28" wide x 27" long on each side (sides sewn closed)

 

Relatively new huipil from San Pedro Sacatepequez in the departamento of San Marcos.  Base cloth was woven in 3 panels on a foot loom and flowers around the neck have
been hand-embroidered.  There are a few minor spots
on the white base cloth but otherwise the huipil is in very good condition.
