1980's huipil made from 3 back-strap
woven panels on a brown base cloth with traditional sunburst
around the neck. This huipil has the traditional
double-headed eagle motif woven into the design. Most of the older huipiles from
Chichicastenango have geometric patterns as in this huipil.
The newer huipiles often have geometric and floral patterns.
This huipil has some signs of wear
due to age but there are no spots or stains.
29" long on each side (side seams
sewn closed) and 32" across.
