This is a traditional woven shawl from the village of San Juan Cotzal in the Ixil Triangle of Guatemala.   It is made of a sturdy soft cotton.  The predominant color is red with bands of color running throughout.  This is a very nice piece. It has been slightly used but is in excellent shape.
